Hike & Hydrate: Chapel and Mosquito Beach Loop and East Channel Brewing Company
Welcome to our weekly series Hike & Hydrate! We'll be exploring some of our favorite hiking in the Upper Peninsula and following them up with a visit to some local breweries and watering holes.
Hike: Chapel Beach Hike Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore
If your game for a long day this hike is the best day hike in all of Michigan! This 10.4 mile loop travels down to Chapel Beach and Chapel Rock, one of the most photographed rock formations in the park. From Chapel beach you will climb high above Lake Superior which offers spectacular views of Pictured Rocks and the turquoise waters below. Stop at Chapel beach or Mosquito beach to cool your feet in the chilly water before heading back to the car at the trailhead.

Drive north to toward the lake and take a right on Munising Ave. Go straight through the traffic circle and continue on H-58 for about 20 minutes until you see the sign for Chapel Beach. Turn left on Chapel Road and continue to the parking area at the end.Get Directions Here.
Hydrate: East Channel Brewing Company, Munising Michigan
After this long day you will want to head straight to the cozy East Channel Brewery. The Brewery offers a variety of unique brewed beers “made with water from the freshest lake in the world!”
